Hawaiian Recipe Ingredients :
  • 1 can Spam
  • 1 can (or 2 cups fresh) crushed pineapple
  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1 med. onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1 tbsp. fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • small dash of cinnamon
Hawaiian Recipe Instructions:
First of all cook rice in chicken stock with butter, salt, cumin, paprika, allspice, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer until stock is absorbed. And then while the rice is simmering, brown Spam, onions, garlic and pineapple in a large skillet with a lid on high heat. Next is to add red and black pepper just before done. Combine rice and Spam mixture. Stir, reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 5 more minutes.
Let cool and serve. Serves about 12 persons....enjoy the rice!

  • 3 c. Hawaiian Punch
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 diced pineapple
  • Diced chicken breast
Hawaiian Recipe Instructions:
Heat Hawaiian punch and water to a boil. Add rice and lower heat to medium. Let rice cook. Put cooked rice in a serving dish that already has the diced chicken breast pieces. Add pineapple. Stir until you have a good mix of rice, chicken and pineapple. Enjoy.!

  • 1 6 inch long hoagie roll
  • 4-7 slices of ham (preferably lunch meat)
  • 1 4 oz can crushed pineapple
  • lettuce tomatoes mayo (anything yo want to top this with)
  • 2 slices of cheese
Hawaiian Recipe Instructions
In a skillet or electric frying pan on medium high heat (325F), saute ham for 1 minute.
Drain half of the juice from the pineapple can and add remaining pineapples and juice to the skillet. Cook for another minute.
Place the hoagie roll on top of contents of the pan. Slide a spatula under the combination and roll. Lift spatula while holding the roll and flip over. Top with cheese and the other toppings.


Hawaiian Recipe Infredients:
  • 1 lb. cocktail wieners or franks, cut in 1" pieces
  • 2 tsp. French's mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup pineapple juice

Combine all ingredients except wieners (see note). Heat, stirring until sauce comes to a boil. Add wieners and heat through. Keep in a chafing dish or Crockpot on warm setting. Serve with cocktail forks or toothpicks.

Note: Use only half the amount of vinegar at first, since some vinegars are stronger than others; an excellent quality vinegar will make the dish while a cheap vinegar will be overpowering. Taste after mixing; if the vinegar is too strong, add the remaining 1/4 cup in water. Adjust to your own taste.

Makes 4 or 5 dozen appetizers.

* 2 pounds fresh tuna steaks, cubed
* 1 cup soy sauce
* 3/4 cup chopped green onions
* 2 tablespoons sesame oil
* 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
* 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper (optional)
* 2 tablespoons finely chopped macadamia nuts

Hawaiian Recipe Instructions

1. In a medium size non-reactive bowl, combine Ahi, soy sauce, green onions, sesame oil, sesame seeds, chili pepper, and macadamia nuts; mix well. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh oregano
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh Rosemary
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh basil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black or lemon pepper
  • 1 4 lb. chicken broiler chicken, halved
  • olive oil spray (for use during cooking)
Hawaiian Recipe Instructions:
Wash chicken and place both halves in a large Ziploc bag.

Squeeze lemon juice; add zest (the yellow portion of the peel) for extra flavor.

Combine remaining ingredients with the lemon juice and place in bag. Refrigerate for several hours (up to 6 hours), turning occasionally.

Place chicken on broiler rack, skin side down or on grill; keep chicken about 7 inches away from heat. If grilling, set chicken on opposite side of the coals to avoid flare-ups. At start of cooking, brush chicken with marinade , then discard marinade so that you're not tempted to use it during the cooking (for safety's sake).

Note: For extra flavor, sprinkle chicken liberally with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder just before cooking. Substitute lemon pepper for the black pepper, if available, for an extra zesty kick.

Broil or grill chicken for 20 minutes or until browned on one side, avoiding flare ups. At this point, spray the chicken lightly with olive oil spray; then turn it to the other side and spray again. Cook for another 10 minutes or so until chicken is done (juice no longer runs pink).

Variation: Wine vinegar may be substituted for the lemon juice. If fresh herbs are not available, substitute 1/2-3/4 teaspoon dried.

Serve garnished with sprigs of Rosemary and a lemon wedge.

* 1 1/2 cups uncooked jasmine rice
* 3 cups water
* 2 teaspoons canola oil
* 1 (12 ounce) can fully cooked luncheon meat (such as SPAM®), cubed
* 1/2 cup sliced Chinese sweet pork sausage (lup cheong)
* 3 eggs, beaten
* 2 tablespoons canola oil
* 1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
* 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
* 1/2 cup chopped green onion

Hawaiian Recipe Instructions:

1. Bring the rice and water to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender, and the liquid has been absorbed, 20 to 25 minutes. Let the rice cool completely.
2. Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat, and brown the luncheon meat and sausage. Set aside, and pour the beaten eggs into the hot skillet. Scramble the eggs, and set aside.
3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, and stir in the rice. Toss the rice with the hot oil until heated through and beginning to brown, about 2 minutes. Add the garlic powder, toss the rice for 1 more minute to develop the garlic taste, and stir in the luncheon meat, sausage, scrambled eggs, pineapple, and oyster sauce. Cook and stir until the oyster sauce coats the rice and other ingredients, 2 to 3 minutes, stir in the green onions, and serve . Enjoy the Hawaiian fried rice !
